Some time ago I posted about getting a CD titled "Standing in the Shadows of MOTOWN, and not liking the recording all that well, but loving the DVD of the same title.
It is a "TRIBUTE" to the FUNK BROTHERS, and if you don't know who they are I highly suggest the DVD, it is a real treat and an eye opener to the History of MOTOWN many don't know.
Be that as it may, I really almost threw the CD away, it sounded so bad.
Well I didn't and since I have such easy access with my OPUS, I punched in the one song I knew I like (Joan Osbourne doing Heat WAVE) and couldn't stop until the CD was finished.
In doing so I also remembered that Ben Harper does a couple cuts and they are VERY VERY good.
I have no idea why I thought is sucked a long time ago, but man it is great stuff now (maybe it had to "age"

)
Anyhow if you're a Harper fan you might like it, and if you like the CD, you can't miss the DVD, it is fantastic, as well as entertaining.
