Silver Iris Coaxials

Hello guys
Just wanted to drop by to tell you about my new purchace of a pair of Hawthorne Audio Siler Iris OB 15" Coaxials.
As a relative new guy to the world of audiophile, I have limited referance to "what sounds good", but these are amazing drivers. They were delivered 2 days ago and are sitting propped up on top of the boxes they were shipped in. Purely spectacular sound. I've heard sounds, and instruments that I'd never heard in songs before. Can't wait to here them baffled.
Having a hard time listening to music though, I get half way through a song before I think of another artist I'd like to hear on the new drivers.
Last night was "Wish you were here" from Pink Floyd. Scary in a few parts, had to open my eyes and look around the room like a scared little kid.

Anybody else heard these?

Bob

Hmmm, My intension was to put this in the "OB circle", but was perusing the Gateway cicle since I'm a local guy...
Sorry about that, I hope no one minds if I 'cut and paste' there?

I'm always interested in Full Range Drivers, 15 incher eh? There are a couple of other new 15 coaxial around P-Audio and BMS. I would like to know how your Silver Iris compare, soundwise and pricewise. What are the specs
  and price on the S.I.'s?
Our local guy David Dicks sell the P-Audio's 15" coaxials between $450 and $675 /pr depending on the model.
    Have fun !

Here's specs and pricing drummer.
Amazing company to deal with. The level of customer service they've provided has most defenitely raised the bar for everybody else.
As far as the others are concerned drummer, I havn't heard them. I'm so happy with these, I may never even want to hear another driver!

  Thanks Bob
Very interesting and nice price too. If they sound good and make you Tap Your Feet, you're in there!
    Have fun!

very nice woodwork on the open baffle design.  That driver is a beast-I hope to get a chance to hear 'em at Scott's.

Looks like a really fun project!

Thanks MerRev for the complement. The wifes wanting me to build "The Stop Sign baffle". I think I'll give it a shot, looks like an easy build. Looks cool too.
