yo2tup, I do not yet have any reviews on the Platinum version but there is a review in the works on the Signature version with the differences being in the coupling capacitors. The Signature in for review uses AuriCaps. The reviewer already purchased teh amp.
I hope to have a review of the Platinum soon. At the very least, maybe supplying one for a society meeting.

Sounds good.  Besides the 10watts, can you comment on the sound difference between the EL34 vs. 6550/KT88 versions?

In general, the EL34 has a 'lusher' presentation with not quite as much dynamic control as compared to the 6550/KT88. What I have found is that the choosing the proper KT88 will provide you with just the right balance of warmth and seduction while still providing excellent dynamics. If this is the sound you are looking for, I would recommend considering upgrading to a Valve Art or Shuguang KT88 tube.

The first thing I would recommend if deciding on the 3205 is taking the time to become familiar with the unit (with whatever tube type you choose) so that when the time comes to upgrade tubes, you will have a better idea of which direction to follow.

By the way, there is a new page found within a new website (still under development) for the Bella EXtreme product line.

The Bella EXtreme 3205 MK II has been redesigned and optimized for the use of a 12AU7 input tube. The original used the 12AX7. This is not simply installing a different tube in the same circuit as a 12AU7 will work in the original 3205 input stage but the tube will not provide optimal performance.

The Bella EXtreme 3205 MK II has been designed for OPTIMAL use of a 12AU7 input and therefore CAN NOT use the 12AX7 in this circuit as it's parameters are much different.

Further details will be released soon as the 3205 MK II will be officially released early 2007. There is one unit that has already been grabbed by a Circle member. This is the very first 3205 MK II to make it's way into a consumer's home.

By the way, I will offer one last 3205 amplifier to be built for 2006. For the next order that comes in on this last piece, I will offer the MK II for the same special price as the original version as stated on our website.

http://www.bellaextreme.com/bella3205.htm

For those who wish to have the original version as used at RMAF, I will still honor the prices as seen on page one of this thread.
