Floor Standing Super 3 Bipoles

Hi Louis,

Have you ever entertained the idea of a floor standing Super 3 Bipole that utilizes either the Super Hemps or a smaller Visaton Driver than the B200?  Or really crazy talk, using two B200 Drivers?
    Looking forward to your answer.

If you look how much bigger the Super 3 bipole is than the regular Super 3R, and then look at the size of the Revolution, that would make for one gigantic speaker...

I'm still waiting for some conclusive research about how bipoles actually interact with rooms. No-one seems to quite agree on the physics.

I have the Super 3 Bipoles V1 and they are very fast. Actually, I like the little Fostex drivers and wonder if larger drivers would slow them down and perhaps not stretch as high. It seems that they like to be worked hard.  Those 4" drivers really load a room; they sound big. I'm really interested in how the drop-in Hemps will sound.

Hi ZLS,

This is very interesting and I right now I'm doing a custom Hemp 8" bipole for a customer. It will be big and I will post about it when I finish. This will take a while. I also have plans to do something in an XRS bipole. It would look like a miniature Maxhemp.

Hi TheSloth,

They load up the room very well although you should have a good amount of space behind unless they are caddy cornered. I have tried this a while back in Montreal and it sounded great. These were the same type rajacat has. The hemp's should be great in the bipole. Right now my prototypes are in the XRSs and I'm very happy.

Thanks again,
Louis
