We believe a "Product Tour" is a great way to offer all Audio Circle members an opportunity to audition our products in their system.  Please tell us which products you think should be included in the tour.  Also please let us know of your interest in participating in the tour.  With your involvement and participation we can make this one of the best product tours ever on Audio Circle.  Thank you.

Does your company offer a 30 year mortgage on your cables? What is the interest rate?

The cable that most interests me is the Sennheiser headphone cable.  But this is pretty specialised, and I understand that it may not make sense to include it in the tour.

BTW...I'm a satisfied owner of a RAL power umbilical, linking my CI Audio VHP-1 to the VAC-1 power supply.  But I did score it cheap on the used market. :)  If anybody has similar power umbilical needs, you may want to lobby for something like this to be included in the tour package.

Way to go, Brad!

Yeah, too bad you can't include power umbilicals for those that have separate DAC/power supplies.....yours have really been enlightening upgrade for my Musical Surroundings Phono amp and MSB Gold Link II, as you know.  They are also among your lesser expensive products - good for folks to try - but not possible in this venue.

The package should probably include a couple (6') Precept II power cables, a couple (1.5 mtr.) Paradise RCA IC's - you may want to leave it simple, just like that.  Easy to ship, something everyone can use. Speaker cable is sooo dependent on listening setup...some folks need 6', others 35'...it may be too much to send.  And, the (larger) Precept's are so specialized at $1700.00 per that I think if anyone is happy with the Precept II and can handle the additional expense, they'll automatically see the value in the Precept's.

So, that's my vote at least.

And, I won't be on the list as I already own them and are darn happy with them, thank you

I'm surprised you haven't had massing at the gates for this....your stuff really does sound good.  I'm not big on damning anyone with faint praise usually - your stuff is just darn nice.

No need for me on the tour as I think I've had or heard everything you make, but good luck on finding others to try it out.

Hey guys, is it the price of RAL's stuff that's keeping ya' from signing on? It doesn't cost to try (fortunately).  My first RAL foray was with a $150.00 (custom, silver cryo) digi cable and moved on up from there over a few years  :)

John is right.....its an audition tour....you get to try cables....see if it makes a difference in your system....where are all those "voodoo" heads at ? Try them out....compare them to what you use. You don't have to buy them if you don't want to....you just might hear a difference.
It's an opportunity......compare.

Brad,

I will try them.  I have your I2S cable.  I wouldn't mind trying your phono cable as well if you have a 5 pin DIN/RCA terminated one -- I am using Vandenhul silver hybrid right now.

I'm just chiming in to thank Revelation Audio for making the $100 umbilical for my channel islands VPP-1/VAC-1 preamp/psu combo.....it's the 'icing on the cake' to say the least.

You guys need to ask Dusty to put a link to your website on his.  I owned the vpp-1/vac-1 combo for over a year before finding out another $100 could take the combo to stratospheric performance levels.

You're philsophy of only making one level of cable (the best) is truly enlightening, even to a penny pinching budget-o-phile like myself.

Just recently I made a few test cd's for a grumpy old audioasylum member who doesn't believe that power cords can make a difference.  So, i decided to provide a cool test for him.  I left 3 aftermarket power cords in the set-up, but used the stock pc for the VAC-1 & the stock umbilical running into the VPP-1.  the difference was sooooooo startling on the CD's i made from LP's that even i was shocked.   Initially i wanted to replace all the pc's with stock one's, but the cord swaps described above made so much of a difference that i didn't need to.  The clarity of the ac delivery upstream probably helped illuminate the difference your product (& a homemade pc with oyaide connectors) made to the signal.  i probably only needed to replace your umbilical with the stock one, but i decided to stack the deck a bit more to drive the point home better.

I haven't heard back from the fellow i sent the cd's too...hopefully he didn't jump off a bridge or anything after hearing the changes!     The biggest difference, aside from sheer clarity & energy of the signal, is the soundstage size & separation of the instruments.  the timbre of instruments and realism of voices is nothing short of amazing either.

kudos!

Matt /gooberdude,

I found the same. Brad has made an umbilical for my Sony 7700/MSB Gold Link III DAC...with stellar results.  It was the first modification I did on the unit - I later had Empirical Audio put $2000 of mods into it.  I have thought that the $150.00 for the umbilical was the equal in improvements of the EA mod...and I'm not at all unhappy about those mods.

I also had him, more recently, make an umbilical for my Musical Surroundings phono amp-to-power supply.  Same result - it made a good phono preamp a very good one.  Bass slam is now great and subtle details shine thru.  The backgrounds sound quieter now - with music peeping thru with greater force. It's maybe a little too poetic I know, but color me impressed.

Interconnect, power cords and Grado headphone cable came later - with deleterious results to my wallet, but great benefits to my listening pleasure  :)

Hey, and Brad, good discount structure for the tour participants  :thumb:

I'm interested in demoing the  Prophecy Cryo-Silver™ Reference S/PDIF Digital Link cable with BNC terminations.

I wouldn't mind trying out your analog interconnects either :D
