I'm just finishing this CD by Carrie Rodriguez and I'm amazed at the sound, sonics and voice of this siren.
I guess its blues, with a bit of country, folk and who knows what but she's hypnotic. Her backing players are first rate as well. I thought, what great guitar work we have here and then saw that it was Bill Frisell, the legendary jazz guitarist himself, doing this. All in all, a great CD. Its worth a listen.

I have two CD's of her and Chip Taylor and have enjoyed them many times. Sounds like I'll have to pick up this one. What is the title of the disc?

In case you're interested, she's on tour right now tour dates.

Her album is seven angels on a bicycle, btw.

Mike:
Its called Seven Angels on a Bicycle. I didn't know she had two other CDs out there. Looks like its back to the store for me.
I was almost tempted to refer to her as the next Norah Jones in my initial post but thought better.
God, she has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard in a while.
Too bad she's not touring here in L.A.

I've had this on my radar for a while and almost went to buy it at lunch today, but did not have time. The description had me very intrigued. After your guy's comments it's an absolute must purchase. To hear Bill Frisell is alone worth the price.
