Very cool stuff!  I have followed your posts (on other forums) and have a lot of admiration for your system.  How does the upgraded system compare to the old system (actually, only the speakers and CDP have changed...I think)?  Secondly, have you thought about adding a turntable to the mix?  I have recently added a TT to my system and really like the improvement (on well recorded albums) versus a CD.  Lastly, when things settle down at work, I'd really appreciate the opportunity to hear your stuff.  You are also welcome to come by and check out my system (which is sounding better than ever since I changed the crossovers in my Ellis 1801's).

My system is under construction but still sounds pretty good.  Hopefully, things will be a little more normal after I get settled in to my new job.

Take care,
J

Hi Jack...it would be great ta meet ya...we'll have to set something up sometime.

I have thought about a TT...and I do plan to get one, I'm just not sure when.  I've got some plans to change out the amps in my system first...and when I'm done with everything...I plan to get the TT as the icing on the cake...or as a bit of dessert for myself.  But that's a long ways off.

I gotta admit...this DIY thing is almost as much fun as sitting down and listening...well, almost ;)

Hi Beat.  The drivers are a TAD (pioneer) 1601a 15" woofer in the bass cab.  A JBL 2441 driver hooked to a 500Hz EdgarHorn "salad bowl" for the mids...and a Fane 5022 tweeter.
