Guys,
Unfortunately we are just not able to keep the $ 1,000 on the Candela. The metal and other parts keep going up obscenely, and on top of that, there is just so much labor involved, it's insane. Everything is handcrafted and individually tuned here in Indy by Alex and me. You're looking at hours and hours, and as you all pretty much know, I always keep my margins tight for a kickass bang for the buck, and my dream of the ultimate < 1k preamp can't be done.
So, we're looking at $ 1,200. as of October 1st, when we'll have pretty much the next production run started on parts. As for all of the 30 + orders on hand and the "teaser cost" until next month, we'll honor the 1k tag.
Either way, even the $ 1,200 price tag is ridiculous, and I'm sure that there will be people mouthing off and not taking it serious because of the low $. Just stay tuned for more feedback from more and more customers, and also reviews to come.
