i know i am being a bit dense but with the nuforce does this power mean per power amp i.e if they were an intergrated would it have 200w of power??? if a speaker is quoted to have a power handling of 200w the 8.02 would be able to drive them?

Yes, the Nuforce power rating is per mono amp.  Typically, manufacturers rating their stereo amp could rate them at different ratings.  For example,a 1-channel fully driven to 100W amp can have as small as a 100W power supply, but for a 2-channel fully driven to 100W amp, it would need a 200W capable power supply.  Unfortunately, not every manufacturer make this clear.

This is really not a fully 'qualified' spec.  Either it means that the speaker could be driven continuously at 200W, or the speaker blows up as soon as the power exceeded 200W.  We suggest checking with the speaker manufacturer to make sure.
