Experience with DDDAC1543 USB->I2S converter kit?
« on: 16 Sep 2006, 02:25 pm »
Has anyone experimented with the DDDAC1543 MK2 USB->I2S converter kit?

(The website uses frames, and the above URL is a direct link to the relevant frame.  The top level website can be found here.  I have visited this site in the past, but not recently.  Thanks to Danny Richie for letting me know that Doede now offers a USB->I2S module!)

Note that (for now) I'm looking at just the USB->I2S module itself and not the DAC, as you could integrate the USB module into the DAC of your choice.  (Josh, might this be an option for your DAC-60 mod project?)  Has anyone experimented with the module kit, or have enough of a digital electronics background to evaluate the schematic and comment on it?

Any thoughts appreciated!

nobody? Even a year later?

And why is this fully visited wonderful forum so "empty" about doede's USB/ I2S input DDDAC1543 MK2 DAC?

I still have a 4 DAC board with I2S version under construction, but just too many other projects.  My Bolder SB2 sounds so good at the moment, I'm not real motivated to get the DDDAC done.  More to come later though... Tom
