Frida - Salma Hayek.

GREAT film.

Superb actings by the beautiful Salma Hayek,
the rest of the casts are excellent as well.

A few notches above the typical main stream
Hollywood junks.

One of the very best film in the last couple decades!

Camera lighting, and photography styles
to kill for.  With great sound tracks.

Don't miss it!

I'm sure you enjoyed the political slant as well. Although I agree the film is beautiful to look at SH is a fine looking woman too.

Poltical slant?

No. I like this movie for the story, the actings, the beautiful lighting, the music and camera works.

NOT FOR ITS POLITICAL CONTENT! I'm not a Maxist, or commie.

I'm a registered Democrat for ages, but I consider myself a libertarian. ;-)

If I want to watch political movies.  I'd watch "Z", "Strawberry Statement", "3 Days of the Condor", "All the president's men". "Pretty Village, Pretty Flames. (a Yugo film, about the Bosnia war.)" "Alexander the Great", etc.

Heck.  Even "Dances with Wolves" have a much heavier political statement/message in its content!

Indeed. Selma Hayek is lovely! :)

P.S.: This is not the circle for political talks. Let's keep it that way.

Not a Marxist?  News to me!

Seriously, "Frida" looked pretty good.  I haven't picked it up yet but I think I will.  The critical buzz was good and Salma Heyak was supposed to be really good in it.  Nice to see an Uber Hottie that actually has acting talent!

Of course not.

If I ever were one.  How could I even misspelled "Marxist" (I spelled it 'Maxist')
