Hi all:
I tumbled across the Sondigo Sirocco yesterday -
http://www.sondigo.com/ . It is a new entrant in the world of wireless audio bridges. The interesting thing about its design, is that Sondigo uses the cmedia wi-sonic driver, which basically acts as an audio card driver on your PC, to push the bits out over your wifi LAN to the Sirocco receiver. So it acts on a level lower than DRM, and can play any audio, in any format, from any audio player! And you can use it without a PC audio card!
At $140 each, they are priced competitively.
Now imagine a tiny wireless device with a simple OS, browser, media player, and the Sirocco system controller installed on it (and a large NAS drive on your network, with all your music) - and voila, you would have an open standard wireless remote to control music in all your rooms. Seems to have some very cool potential here.
