I took my wife to see Lyle Lovett and His Large Band at the Wilmington Grand Opera House last week.  The concert was excellent and the Large Band was really swinging. 

David Bromberg, who lives in Wilmington, joined Lyle Lovett on stage for an unannounced acoustic jam session with a couple members of the band. 

Another of the evenings highlights was an oncor solo performance on the R&B swinger from 1924, "Wild Women Don't Get the Blues." Wow, that woman sure has a set of pipes. 

A great evening out.  Lovett and his Large Band are on tour all summer, catch them if you can.
