In Slim Server software, select  "Player Settings", scroll down to "Screesavers" section & choose one of the options to change the displayed information...hope this helps.

Actually you want the "Now Playing" section of the "Player settings".

There is a drop-down where you can select the "Now Playing Information". You want one that includes "Elapsed Time", there are 4 that you can choose from.

If you'd like a "thermometer" type display ensure that "Include Buffer Fullness In Playing Display Mode List" is selected.

Experiment and see which one you like best.

Personally I prefer "remaining time" to "elapsed time", but to each his own! :D

These settings (elapsed time, remaining time, buffer etc) don't seem to work under 6.2.1 (F/W v15). I change them and click on the 'Change' button in SlimServer but nothing appears on the SB2 display.

Are you using the largest font size on the SB?  The thermometer doesn't show up when you use the largest font size.  Pressing the "Now Playing" button on the remote will cycle through the font sizes.

This highlights the only thing I don't like about the Slimserver/SB -- how confusing it is to use.  What I'd love to see is an iTunes-like interface and perhaps some more information (like, "If you select this option but use the largest font size, this option will not be shown").

Really?  I was first drawn to it because of how easy I thought it was to use... :dunno:

Ahhhhh .... indeed I was using the LARGE font, as I sit approx 13' back from the SB and can't read the smaller fonts from there. Yes, switching to the smaller font shows the elapsed time and buffer as you suggested. I guess most of the time I don't need to see the elapsed time, so I can just change font from the remote on the odd occasion that I wish to see this information.

Thanks for your help!
