What happened to Battlestar Galactica?
« on: 28 Aug 2006, 02:11 am »
I Don't get TV so I only watch DVD's that I either buy or rent when they come out.

I liked the first and second season of Battlestar Galactica but the second season was short and ended with a cliff hanger.

What Happened.

Will there be more or did someone pull the plug.

TIA.

Season 3 starts on oct 6.  Second season short?  There were 20 episodes in season 2 compared to 13 in Season one...  not including the mini-series that preceded season 1.

Sci Fi airs it, and later airs in HD on Universal-HD.  Unfortunately the HD airing lags behind the SD airings by several months :(

We just finished renting season 2 & if I remember correctly there were 3 discs with only 4 episodes each. Did I miss some?

Yeah there were only a few episodes on the season two set and they ended right when they were about to go to war with there own people.

I read a review in Home Theater magazine and there was something said about the second half of season two but I could not tell if it was a joke or if there was really to be more season two or if it was simply cancelled and there would be no more.

I don't see a reason why a season would be released in two halves and there was no indication that the season was not complete.

I wonder if anyone could say when the rest of season two will be available.

The last half of season 2 (episodes 11-20) gets released on September 19.

Looks like you've gotta wait 3 more weeks...

I'm anxious to pick up the latest "season" on DVD.  I can't believe how long the show has been on hiatus! :o  I'm not sure whether to watch it when it comes back or just wait six more months til I can buy the DVDs.

Sci-fi is showing web only supplemental episodes that occur between seasons 2 and 3. The first one came out last night.

We are not talking about the show that had Lorne Greene as the Commander or something.  Are we?

Yep.

Okay, poll.  Viper vs. X-Wing?  Turbo boost vs. R2.

No, we're discussing the new series on the sci-fi network. Much better than the old, imho.

Good,

Because if you were (getting off on the old series), I would have had to question your, hhhmmmm, let's just say, taste.   At least Buck Rogers had Erin Gray to look at.  :green:
