Custom one-off 2A3 SET amplifier
« on: 25 Aug 2006, 02:57 pm »
Here is the first amplifier I ever built and I still own it. It is based on a Loftin-White design from 1939. My buddy John in Austin scribbled the schematic on a notepad during an audio meet at my house. I spent the next 6 months building it.

Very cool!  Flawless execution it seems.

I am currently designing a PP 6c33c amp as a precursor to building Lynn Olson's Karna.  I am still not 100% decided on the front end, whether to use Broskie's Aikido variation of the split-load phase splitter with CF's (have to put 2 & 2 together from his website) or use iron phase splitting Amity style.

But before all of this, I MUST finish my UcD rebuilds and knock out the test baffles for my Arvo Part speakers.
