Just a tad higher in price than the Belden 1505F I normally use for unbalanced lines, but still very inexpensive in high-end cable terms.

..I came across these cables about a week or two ago. I like the Bluejean cables a lot. I plan to buy a pair of these within the next week to use with a new preamp.

Brilliant

3' of cable for $31.75 with low capacitance and other important factors well figured into the equation. Made, or at least assembled, in the US.

Based on the design notes, this sounds like a great buy...especially for long runs.

I use the Canare LV-77S from Bluejeans, and I can attest to the shielding being effective. My system is stone quiet. I use the Belden 1505F to and from my tape recorder, 'cause there I need 3'. My Canare are 2' long; so the total capacitance is still low.

The Canare connectors don't look like much, but I have zero issues with mine.

These new wires are made for Bluejeans by Belden, which is a US company. Canare is Japanese, I believe. Great value with these new wires, it seems.

Cool. I wonder if they'd sell LC-1 in bulk? I made my cables using LV-77s, so I already have the tools for terminating with that sized Canare plugs.

When did they start doing an optical cable? I just noticed that.

I love Blue Jeans Cables....I have their component video cable and love it. I still don't know where I stand with regard to cables making an audible improvement with audio, but I KNOW that their cable improved my video. I'd feel good with any cable purchase from those folks.

I just got a 2' LC-1 interconnect in the mail today. I'm very impressed with the quality for the price, I had no idea they were such a new design. This is one of the few times in my life when I will feel cutting edge.

I'm guessing that the Belden 1505F is more flexible since its center core is stranded - the BJC LC-1 is solid core. I've been very pleased with the 1505F, though none are longer than 6 feet. The difference in capacitance isn't worth worrying about for reasonable lengths.

The cables are pretty stiff; it's not crazy, I can connect my amp to my cd player right next to it without any difficulty, but if flexibility is a need I would look elsewhere. They are quite solid.

I like them. Very economical and you get a lot for the money. Using their IC's and speaker cables right now.

Foreground: Belden 10AWG 5T00UP (sorry, I haven't been able to find a hair-dryer strong enough to "shrink" my shrink tubing)

I have been using the LC-1 for a couple of weeks now and it runs past electronics, outlets, other AC cables, RPTV and is 24 feet long each. Dead quiet and easy to manipulate. Blue Jeans does it again!

Hi Rayd,

Your system looks similar to my office system where I'm using the Decware Zen amp, Beldon 1505F ICs and Belden 5T00UP speaker cable. The Zen's speaker posts won't accept a 10 ga. wire so I use a double banana from Radio Shack that takes bare wire at 90 degrees.

I'll be putting the Zen amp for sale as soon as I can find a solid state replacement.

I picked up several sets of the LC-1, as well as their digital IC for a 2-channel system I'm assembling from a mix of new components and stuff I freed up from another system. I have to say that they have me wondering why I spent 5-10X as much for IC's in the past. I'll do some more careful A/B comparisons against my Eichmanns and write them up under Critics Circle, but so far the system sounds great. Changes in components are clearly audible, but nothing is ever sounding bad - just different.

Here is the system:
Blue Jeans Belden 1694A and LC-1 IC's
PC music server running J River Media Center, ASIO USB driver, HagUSB to S/PDIF
Mdht Paradisea DAC (stunning)
Adcom 565 preamp (awaiting a new Promitheus Audio TVC)
Bolder Tripath Battery Amp/AMC 2030 El-34 tube amp (interesting contrast)
Cardas speaker cables
Omega TS-1's with Planet 10 phase plugs and Dammar treatment (aka audio microscopes!)

. I just got my LC-1s today. I also use their digital cable and a RCA to Balance cable. I'm not able to try the LC-1s out since nearly all my gear is scattered across the country and beyond. I'm also waiting on a Promitheus TVC-1 and my AS integrated to come back from Peter Daniels place.
Looking forward to the new preamp and integrated upgrade.

Yes .. since I've tried several of the Blue jeans cables I see or hear no need to spend more. I've had more expensive cables that I didn't like. The BJCs have all been great! They allow me to hear each and every change in the system. Basically they're neutral to me. Personally I don't need cables to color the sound. You can change components and do that much easier.

Hi TIC, no, these are the ones supplied by Blue Jeans @$3.50/pair. They say they are supplied by a maker in Taiwan - not sure where Kevin gets his

. They are a mechanical type. (This link opens a PDF file on how to terminate)... No soldering required.

I like them.

Hi Bob, yes I have a set of those. They are nice. I figured I'd try the Blue Jeans bananas.

I like my Select but I feel in need of a change. I am trying to sell my Decware CSP Preamp if anyone interested.

Hi TIC, no, I've never been there (I imagine it might have been Randy's get together?). I do remember your handle from the forum. I've only 'fested with some local Mass boys (Den & Paul). I would like to hear Randy's system though sometime. Are you still into the Decware stuff?
