HK T-30c

About 20 years ago I bought a HK T-30c from AVA.  Recently, I took the platter off to see if the spindle was still clean and whether it needed oil.  It doesn't show any wear but was slightly dirty and without oil. I cleaned and oiled the brass sleeve and the inner hole of the platter, and cleaned the rubber belt.  When I went to reassemble, the belt would not stay on the inner drum.  Obviously, it has lost a significant degree of elasticity.  Eventually, I got it on alright and over the pulley.  It does have enough elasticity to stretch when over the pulley and works OK.  Never-the-less, I would like to replace the belt  if possible.  Are these belts still available and if so, where can I get one?

There is also a problem with the cueing.  I can lower the tonearm about halfway, and then it drops like a stone.  Is this something I can fix myself?  I note that there is a small set screw on the armrest.  Can I add something (silicon?) there to alleviate the problem?  If not, then what is the solution?

FVA may remember this particular turntable.  About 10-12 years ago after a period of nonuse, I found that I had lost the outboard power supply.  I contacted FVA and he was willing and able to build a new one for me.  I got the new unit but then discovered that the motor had burned out.  Although FVA expressed doubts that he would be able to source a new one, he somehow managed to do that too.  I had to ship the turntable to Burnsville for the installation.  Eventually, I got the turntable back and it has been running fine ever since.

Thanks for any help
