Hi there Audio Addicts :!:  :!:  I'm interested in opinions, experiences, etc. with Martin Logan speakers, be it 2-channel or HT and the equipment(amps, cables, etc.) used with them.  Like all of you - I can't read enough about gear I might be interested in  :)  :)     Thanks .......  Steve.

With their curved panels, they don't have as much problems with beaming as a lot of stats, but it is still an issue.  The only real problem I've heard w/ ML's is the difficulty of integrating the bass woofer with the stat panel.  I haven't heard the new models that have the "uber" powered woofer section, so they may have solved the problem.  Oh, and they need space, being bipolar radiating speakers, placement anywhere close to a rear wall is a no-no.

Hmm being bipolar has made me want to be far from wall... just make sure that they are padded. :?

Wouldn't these be dipoles, not bipoles?

I agree that the ML's kinda have a disconnect between the panels and the woofs.  Overall they do sound pretty good, but of course they aren't easy to place in a "real world" room.

Funny, just read about people moving to this MB partly because HD is always down and spotted this topic on MLs. I was going to check to see if Steve could be the same guy who asked about MLs on that board so I wouldn't bore everyone by repeating my rant but, you guessed it, HD is down.

Hey Doug - yup, same guy. I'm just looking for opinions but ended up here for the reason you mentioned.  Steve.
