Question for Bellari VP129 owners...
« on: 19 Aug 2006, 02:12 am »
I find that I need to run the output at a bit beyond halfway and that there is a decent amount of 60 cycle hum that is quite audible when there's no music playing. This hum is always there, regardless of whether the output level is all the way down or not, but it gets louder as I turn up the output  (the system is dead quiet when running my SCD-1 digital source).

I also noticed that the wall wart power supply is quite hot (not burning, but noticeable).

I'm curious if other Bellari owners have noticed any of these issues. I assume an active preamp might help, but I don't own one (btw, the hum is the same if I run directly into the amps without the passive inline).

the rest of my system=NAD 533 'table with Ortofon Super OM 20>Bellari phono>FT Audio LW-1 passive pre>Quicksilver Mini Mite Monos>De Capo speakers.

Thanks,

Jon

I don't know anything about the Bellari itself but the following link helped myself and quite a few other people get the hum out...hope it helps you too!
