Slimserver Transporter as Preamp/DAC?
« on: 18 Aug 2006, 10:54 pm »
I saw this topic mentioned elsewhere and was wondering how it might work. It obviously doesn't have analog inputs but it has multiple digital inputs. Presumably it can be connected directly to the amp for your main speakers. Is there any way to do home theater bypass or pass through?

I'm still struggling with combining my 2 channel audio with my home theater. I've been considering buying the new Dodd preamp which has a bypass function. I'd prefer not buying the preamp and the Transporter.

No HT bypass on the Transporter.

I too have been trying to figure out how to combine the two. You would think someone would come out with a high quality switch box for HTBP.
