I have a complete Tyler Acoustics HT speaker system.
Speakers are as follows: Taylo center, Taylo 7U's fronts, & I just replaced my Taylo Ref Monitors rears with Taylo Ref II 3-way floor standers. All the speakers are in maple finish.
My speakers are not stock. I have completely rebuilt the crossovers in all the speakers. I did leave the factory inductors, added Mundorf silver & oil bypass to Hovland tweeter cap, replaced all Eagle resistors with Mills, replaced all Bennic electrolytic caps with either Sonicaps or Solen film caps (large value Solens with bypasses for low & high pass filters - rest are Sonicaps), replaced all internal wiring woofers & mids Vampire cryo CCC wire (12g woofers & 14g mids), Tweeter wire is Audio Consulting 24g solid core silver wire. I also replaced the binding posts with Cardas Patented posts (thanks Gordy for the aluminum mounting plates).
Ty from Tyler Acoustics is a great guy to deal with. Like many of the wonderful manufacturers & modders here on Audio Circles. He sells an excellent product at a very fair price. His speaker cabinet work is not up to par with the likes of Jim Salk (is anybody?) but he uses very heavy duty construction and what I would call a standard type of cabinet finish. He does offer a wide variety of veneer options. Again, in my opinion, Ty is providing a very good product to price ratio. Ty does most of his selling through AudioGon.
The standard factory crossover components are very high quality when compaired to the rest of the audio industry. All parts are sourced from Madisound. I just wanted to squeeze out the last ounce of performance. Ty was very helpful to me even when rebuilding his factory crossovers.
My sound quality is without a doubt first rate - however, my system has gone through a lot of changes over the last 6 months - (new amps, new pre/pro, new rear speakers, etc) some components are still breaking in. I still have to get it dialed in.
I do see pictures of various Salk speakers being shipped out. They are works of art & I would love to own them. I have completed a great deal of work to my Tyler Acoustic speakers - they are here to stay.
Just wanted to note, that I also use a single custom made subwoofer crossed over at 60hz. I run the center channel as small and fronts & rears as large.
