All:
I have had nothing but positive experiences on Audiogon up to this point. Tons of transactions, and they all went great.
But now, I found one of these freaks that I have been hearing about, and reading about on the dispute forums. . .
The guy gets this amp I sell him, and he doesn't like the binding posts, and the power supply physically hums (all Aloias do this), so he is trying to get a refund and send it back to me!
The amp is as represented. There was one scratch on top of the power supply where the amp sits, and I disclose it in my ad. He finds another 1/4" scratch that I didn't see, and so I offer to give him money, or help him get a replacement for the part that's scratched. I thought I was going out of my way to help the guy, but evidently it's not enough.
So. . . What do you do with a guy like that?
Do you give a refund because someone buys something and doesn't like it? Wouldn't that essentially be a test drive?
Hmm . . .
