I believe last night I had a similar issue to what Kal said he had happen. I was watching Sahara (HDDVD) on the 5.1 analog ports and every few minutes it would switch from analog to digital and I would hear what was coming through on my TV input. how do I set it to lock on the analog 5.1 when I am watching that source?

also, bad news. I did the FW update last night and I still get popping when changing channels on cable TV. it isn't as loud as it was, but definately still happens.

Hi,

As long as the SAVE button is pushed on the remote with the 5.1 passthrough analog inputs engage it should stay on analog.

Some of the motorola cable boxes have real issues with losing clock when they switch channels. We are looking at what we can do about this but up to now it seems to be a poor quality output on the cable boxes. It does not happen with Digital PCM or analog out just the DD.

I am currently using the SPDIF. I can try toslink tonight and see if that makes any difference. I am using the motorola 3412 box. have you noticed any difference between tos and spdif in your tests?

Hi,

What is the date on your software - shows up when you first turn on the SP2 in the LCD window.

your last post is kind of difficult to tell if it is a question. I just updated the firmware with what you emailed me. I am not at home, but the FW says July something, based on memory.

James,

Thanks for the update. What all did it address?

I installed it. still get the popping. it is better, but still pops from time to time.

I will try the optical tomorrow night. I have to go digging for a cable. Had class tonight so was late coming home.

Did you engage the DELAY option when switching using Code 093?

I had done it before I updated. All of my other settings stayed. I had assumed this one would to. I can do it tonight.
