My stereo system consists of: Odyssey Mono Extremes, Odyssey Tempest, Groneberg TS Premium Speaker Cables, Groneberg I.C. and Power Cords, Jolida 100 Cd Player w/ Sylvania 5151 Tubes.
This is my first time on building speakers. The Peridot was a rewarding but challenging speaker to build. After listening to a lot of cds, in my opinion, this is a world class speaker. It will play very low when the music calls for it to. The bass is very tight, not boom-y. No sub needed in my opinion. The more I listen, the better I like them. My main goal is to have the music sound as if it were live. This speaker comes very close to it.
It's a very musical speaker. It lets you hear more details in the music, getting you more involved. The mid-range is excellent as is the ribbon tweeter. You can be in the next room and it still sounds great. All in all, I am happy with the speakers; I'm glad I went with the Peridots. I find myself listening to music even more now.

There is no listening fatigue while playing at sane listening levels.
