I'm listening to it right now. . .

Radiohead ranks #2 in my book. . .right behind Pink Floyd. . .

Well in books/generational association Radiohead is the best period.  I do have an uncontrolable love for pink floyd probably in my top ten bands of all time.

I think I have the same top two in the same order but it is close. In fact, I actually bought two new CDs, HTTT and DSOTM on SACD.

DSOTM was one of my more recent purchases to.  Very well done/re-done for SACD among the top remasters I've heard along with Nirvana's new comp album.

So, how's the CD?  Does it continue in the tradition of their last 2 albums?

pjchappy

no
no. .. so far, it goes back to a more 'listenable' Radiohead. . .

It is not as experimental as Kid A and Amnesiac. . .however, it definitely has a lot of those 2 albums sound. . .

It's good. . . from my first listen. . .

It's a good album.  I remember when I first listened to Kid A with my jaw to the ground and my head swimming in a strange alien environment, it literally gave me a headache, not because it was bad, but because it was so great.  Hail to the thief is good, but not unbelievable like KidA/Amnesiac.

My favorite Radiohead album is The Bends.  After OK Computer I lost interest.

I bought Kid A and Amnesiac, and listened to a pre-release of HTTT.

Nope, nah gonna do it.  Nah gonna.  Not at this juncture.

Just to clarify. . .I love Kid A and Amnesiac, but many find it unapproachable. . . .

This is a more approachable album than those 2. . .closer to OK Computer updated w/ the sound of the last 2 albums. . . . that is probably not the best way to describe it, but the only way I can right now. . .
