G,day audiojerry,no one brings them into New Zealand.Would love to hear them myself. There are reviews in 6moon.com,Hi Fi News, and Stereophile. They love it and rate it a huge bargain.Maybe you could contact the U.S.Distributor to see if anyone stocks it near you.

Hey,

I have owned mine for about 5 months now and it is a great little integrated.  I have it paired up with Reference 3A mm de capos and the match is wonderful.  I think that being able to swap in different tubes can help you to tone your Unico how ever you like (though it isn't the most dramatic effect it is still present).

I really have enjoyed the R/C volume control as I can go anywhere in my house with it and change the volume.  Just one of those creature comforts that I think ALL preamps/integrateds should come with.  I think R/C equipment really is the way to go regarding remote control issues.  I hate infrared...though it is still better than nothing.

Anyway...I think that the Unico is a great value and you should be able to pick one up used for a few hundred dollars less than retail.  They seem to be hot items right now so dealers aren't too likely to drop the price much.

What other components are in your system?  That could help me figure what the Unico would be like in your setup.

Thanks for your thoughts.
I don't have any other components to mate with it yet. It would be for a second system, but the speakers would probably ProAc 1SC.
