I wish I had thought of this a long time ago.  Starting a new ongoing contest for the more interesting and well done half-kit productions.  Small prize awarded.

Made a web page to highlight all of the winners.  First is amandarae!  I'll pick winners randomly by whatever catches my eye at the time.  You can email photos to me.

Hi Jim,

Any chance of a Clux of the month award.  I can barely solder and i have no chance of ever winning this award j/k.  Thanks for the help in trouble shooting my minor problem.

Regards

Rod

ooh, i would win that one easily. i made a mess of my Bugle Pro. i figured it out but was burnt out messing with it so I asked a Vinyl Asylum inmate buddy to do the work for me in trade for a set of Mullards. Ta Da. I couldn't even finish mine. So I win.

Here is the state of affairs right before i mailed it off:

Hi,

Well i'm going to keep practicing my diy skills as much as i can.  I would very much like to build a clarinet but at this stage i don't have the skills to do so.

I think Jim's kits offer very good value.  I bought his classic cornet (with stock parts) recently and it outperforms every mid priced phonostage i've used.
