Zu Druid base height
« on: 18 Jul 2006, 09:53 am »
Hi, I have a pair of Zu Druids which I bought used (here in UK), and have been attempting to source guidelines of speaker base to floor (hard wood type) measurements

I have contacted a dealer here in UK, and have also emailed Zu – they say go for 6mm, the dealer said 13mm, and the manual says between 10 and 20mm

Looking through the forum here, I have seen mention of 2 jewel cases, which is quite high (and impossible to achieve with the short stubby spikes

Any experience would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Try 1 jewel case height. If this does not work for you, and you need to go higher, contact Zu and I am sure that they can ship you a set of the longer spikes.

Hi ton 1313, thanks for the reply. I telephoned Zu (today!) and they said the same - 1 jewell case. This tightens everything, and gives less cone excertion. The bass is more controlled, as are the mids  :D
