The description of the player's sound reminds me of recent reviews of very detailed and clinical sounding components which have become all the rage lately. For those who like this sound, the Stello would appear to be a real contender.
What I like most about the Stello CDA320 are the two coaxial and one toslink inputs so one can utilize the Stello's DAC for other gear (like my 15 year old Sony 77ES CD changer). I wish more high end manufacturuers would include this feature. Oh yeah, a USB port would be cool, too.
