I still have my .5 Preamp kicking around after replacing it with the BP25P and thought it might be fun to turn it into a dedicated headphone amp.

As a frequent headphone guy I sold off my dedicated headphone amp hoping that the BP25P would suffice, but after a month or so I’m still finding that the BP25 although very good with my Sennheiser HD580’s, my Grado SR325i’s and AKG K501’s have lost their previous magic I had with the dedicated amp.

So I was wondering if it’s possible to increase the unity gain on the .5 and make it a better match for low impedance cans. What the Grado’s and the AKG’s now lack is a fullness and bass extension with impact and the overall sound is thin and shallow.
Any input would be great.
