Just curious if anyone has the D-200 mated with the Modwright SWL 9.0 SE and if so how do they sound compared to other units.
Thanks,

Koiman, may I know what's your source? Me too is getting a D-200 next week for a 30-day trial. I'm currently running Aberdeen's fully modded Tact 2.0S as DAC/preamp into Bryston 4B-SST into Salk HT3. My source is RWA modded SB3.

I'm also pondering whether to get an Audio Horizons TP2.0b preamp to squal-off against the Tact, has anyone on this forum heard of this preamp?

I own the D200 and pair the monos with the Bent Audio TAP (silver TVC) with excellent results! The TAP allows a truly transparent view of the musical tapestry, with the D200s effortless ability to drive my Thiel CS2.4. I have also found Black Racing cones Mark IV below each mono to be a great tweak in enhancing the D200s. The Cardas wooden blocks were not that good. Congrats on your D200s. Welcome to the club!

95bcwh,
I am currently running a Denon 2900, a Adcom GCD 750 and a Bel Canto Dac 2. I really sounds fantastic.
Thanks for excepting me into the club. :D

Barry,

I think you are going to like the Salk/D-200/Tact/SB2 combo and will find it a very nice improvement over what you currently have.

JUst make sure you get some hrs on the D-200's before making any critical decisions.

Also, I would try to use something other than the stock power cords.

George,

Thanks..so far I haven't been disappointed with your recommendation on HT3 and Tact. I have even spent $2k modifying my Tact which now looks like a no-return ticket. 8)

I'm pretty sure that the D-200 has to be good, as most people said.

Sorry to side-step the thread a little. I was wondering what's the fastest way to burn in amplifier? Work it work if I turn on my source, preamp, amp, while disconnecting my speakers so I don't have to listen to it while breaking in? In a way, I'm going to use XLO burn-in tone which speed up the process, so I really can't listen to that junk.. :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

  Thanks

George,
Did you try the Volex 17604 power cords? I just ordered A pair to see if they make any difference for the price it can't hurt.. How much actual time do you think these units have on them?  I can't imagine them sounding any better they are superb now.
