New Aspen Website

Thanks to Russ (Hegemony!) we've just gone live on a new website. Content is much the same, but look and feel has changed.
There will be a few niggling issues, and do let us know on this forum, but I'm hoping this will give Aspen a new look and vision from this point forward.
My sincere thanks to Russ for his outstanding work - it's a corker!!
Cheers,
Hugh

The text is very small at 1280x1024.
Whoever wrote the page for you used absolute font sizes. Bad.
He needs to make them relative so folks with different resolutions can control the font size. Good.
Otherwise it looks great!

Thanks KFR,
Good point; I will relay to Russ. He's actually looking at this aspect now, as I too raised the issue with him. My PC is set to 1280x1024, and the site takes up about half my screen with very small fonts.
Cheers,
Hugh

The new website is fantastic, much more professional and what Aspen has been crying out for, for a while
No problems I can see yet, so congratulations to all involved.
Nick.

Why Nick,
Thank you, I'm sure Russ will be very chuffed to read this!!
He used a professional template from a specialist company, and I think it's been quite a success!
Cheers,
Hugh

Nice site, Guys!
The navigation is much better than the old format, and I know a lot of hard work goes into making something that's as "intuitive" feeling as this.
I was absolutely gobsmacked when I saw the Testimonials page, as there were my AKSAs staring back at me!
BTW, two (very) small things that I found:
1. The HTML <title> could be set to something other than "1_home", like: "ASPEN, probably the best amplifiers in the world"
2. The UK suppliers page still lists Peerless drivers for the Aksonics
Cheers,
Ron

Thanks Ron,
For bountiful praise, strong encouragement, and a few glitches to fix!!
Was I right to say nothing of this update until it was there, ready for all to see??
Yes, your AKSAs look very nice indeed, and your words are bloody good too!
Cheers,
Hugh

Hi Hugh,
I am using a Macintosh computer with Safari, when I click on testimonial page or Meet Hugh page, all the text past my open window does no show. So scrolling down I just get a white page with no text.
Otherwise, it looks great.

Thanks Haron,
Russ, anything obvious come to mind with this problem? It certainly points up the need for trying it out on Macs, along with PCs...... I hope it's easily fixed. I suspect that moving up to Dreamweaver might be in order; the base FrontPage does not have the universality of the professional product.
I'm happy to buy DW if you think it would help, BTW.
Cheers,
Hugh

Netaron and Hugh,
Displayed fine on my PC and also on my G5 Mac last night in (using) both Safari and Firefox. Certainly no problems as you describe though I didn't explore every page. I keep my OS (Tiger) fully updated and I noticed there was a new update of Safari with 10.4.7. May be a version issue. As long as Hugh has the site working generically rather than using IE specific functionality, should be right. I'd have a better look tonight in case I've missed something obvious but Rob is dragging me off to see Superman sigh.
Congrats Hugh, very professional though at the resolution and text colour (depth) it was a trifle hard to read without putting my glasses on. Yes I know I can up the displayed font size but I'm lazy. Ah, the trials of vanity.

LM,
I just tried again today, still no text or graphics when I scroll down. Maybe an issue with my mac, but I have not experienced this with other sites.
Thanks

Hi Haron,
Many thanks. Russ, have you seen this? I wonder what it could be?
I'm lost on Macs, I really am (lost on PCs, too, truth be known!),
Cheers,
Hugh

Looks good to me on FireFox and Safari (OS/X), except for the already-mentioned issue with some font sizes. (Specifically for me, <h5> and <h6> are being used for various headings, which by default display too small. I would suggest using <h2> and <h3> and use the CSS to set font sizes.)

I'll find out that means and see if Russ and I can make the change!!

Hi.
I am new to the site.
I built an Aksa 55 a few years back and continue to be impressed by it.
I had the same trouble with viewing the web site on Safari.
Today I googled Firefox and downloaded their browser. It is free and it lets you see the whole Aksa site.
