The mods are very extensive, including hundreds of parts replacements and redesign of large parts of the circuitry. DC-coupled with OPA-627 op-amp output stage, based upon the CS4397 DAC chip. Many of the reviews above were of earlier revision levels. The performance of the latest units is even better. In addition, they have the I2S mods and either Superclock2 or Superclock 3 installed. With the I2S mods, they can be used with amazing results driven from a computer using one of our USB to I2S converters, either the Off-Ramp I2S or the Freeway I2S. This combination achieves some of the best playback quality on the planet. Review from American Wired says:
