do you mean the 5262-AW?  didn't find 5362a on your site.

The relevant page on the Pass & Seymour site is here: http://www.passandseymour.com/products/product.html?s=91&mkt=3, which explains the different models and letter suffixes that relate to color.

Oh My. Regardless of any way you go with the P&S oulets you are in for a ride until they break in. Bob Crump had a 20 day break in summary for these outlets that was hard to believe ... until I lived through it myself. It was worth it in the long run but there is a real up and down period of burn in.

What's to burn in? Damn if I know, but I can say the system sund changed dramatically every time I sat down to listen for about a month or more.

Good luck,
Bob

Really?  I had the 6300IG installed with my dedicated line and didn't find much in the way of break-in relative to ICs and speaker cables

The 'W' just means White.   The 5262 is a 15A and the 5362 is a 20A rated part.    It really doesn't make much differene in my opinion.   There isn't some kind of magical extra current carrying capability that the 20A UL rated part has.   It has probably just passed the extra testing which qualifies it for the 20A UL rating.    The 5262-AW is hefty enough and grabs the plug like a pit bull so that is what I standardized on.

Any of them will probably be a good part though.    I was just suggesting the 5362 because I know it is almost identical to the 5262-AW which I have a lot of experience with.

I've swapped out many outlets and found little difference between them, from P&S, Hubbell, Furutech, etc.  A few different kinds of each too.  Compared to even POS cheap outlets the difference was mild compared to other upgrades.  YMMV as usual.

kevin, right now i have some unused 8300H which are $7.11 ea., your 5262aw are $16.92 ea.
my question is, is there a $9.81 difference in performance?
