Anyone else going down to the Tall Ships Festival in Beaufort over Fourth of July weekend?  Tift Merritt is playing Saturday night, and Delbert McClinton Tuesday, I think.   Lots of other bands throughout the weekend.

Another great show.  Her pedal steel/dobro player was MIA, so it was mostly Tambourine and several songs off her upcoming CD.  Judging from them, it should be very good ... similar to Tambourine.  The crowd started out thin and quiet (we got right in front 1/2 hr before show time), but was jammed and blown away by the end.  Lots of disciples created.  She had CD's of the last show I saw her at ... NC Art Museum last June.  As usual, stopped to talk and sign afterwards. Everyonoe with me was beat form teh heat and lines all day, or we would have searched out the after-party.  I need to hang with younger relatives

Man, sorry to have missed this... My wife and I really like Beaufort and would've gone but we participated in a good friend's wedding...

I'd be interested in hearing her cd so please bring it to the next gathering!

Will do Carl.  At the rate we are going with our gathering, the new CD may be out by then  (Kasey Chambers' new one too).

At the moment I have very little that was there the last time anyone visited.
New speakers, preamp has been totally modified, new amp, more amps coming, new doors... etc.
As soon as the install of the doors are finished and I get the preamp back from Aberdeen, I will be in good shape for a gathering... which should be in 2-3 weeks max.  I've been waiting on doors for many months now.   No promises about anything but I'm really ready to be finished (for a while) ...

How were the 'tall ships"???

I would have loved to seen the spectacle, but only being off Sunday put the clamps on that  !
