Mapltree preamp arrived

Wow, this guy is pretty darn small, I guess I expected something bigger, but this is a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to get home to try it out. I also received my cryo'd M80s.

I've exchanged a couple of emails with Lloyd P - he appears to have a very cost effective product.

Is the Mapleshade a temp fill in until you get the Bent?
Did you consider the Mapleshade Ultra 4m w/built in phono?

Yeah I basically picked it up for a fill in until the Bent comes but I also picked it up in case I want to go for the tube sound one day or if I want to tweak it out. I considered the 4m but I already have an external phono and I liked the modularity so that I could bybee or cyro or go crazy on the PS. It seems like a simplistic design, and I liked that about it. I went with Red.

P.S. I emailed Dr. Lloyd and asked him if he wanted to do a forum on this site so we'll have to see if he is interested.

Is your Monolithic phono stage Modwrighted?
Just found a link to where UnderwoodWally is selling them already modded for a really good price.

hello,

i was just looking at the products in your system, it must sound pretty good. what do you think of the rega 3? have you compared it to other turntables?

how long did you say you've been married? you'd better finish upgrading your system before the kids come along?

btw i recently told my son off and he got back at me by pushing in the dust covers on my speakers. gee he really knew how to upset me.

anyway happy listening with the preamp.
