Ultra 550 - Replacing the face plate ... ???

I have a new face plate for my Ultra 550 (thanks Frank). When I uncrewed bolts holding the face plate I could barely get to the power switch wire connectors due to seemingly ultra short wires. I am afraid to pull the plate further off if the wires actually are very short. How far can I pull the plate/wires out which are connected to the power switch? How much slack is there for a fat fingered guy like me?

Gee, you need to remove the amplifier's cover first, to access the AC wiring from the inside. Don't pull hard from the outside, the connections are sturdy. but not invincible.

Took the cover off of the 550 to replace the face plate. Yikes! That is one helluva toroidal transformer there, eh? The size is nightmarishly large! (Thank God ... and Frank.)
