That reference to the DK is a low blow.

There are several people here who are going to listen to the Dussun, and there's nothing more that can be asked than that. Audio is replete with more speculation than any other hobby I can recall.

The V8i is less than $1600 with a 30 day MBG. Try one...or not.

No....just saying that last year the DK was hot....a number of people purchased it at a high price....then had to sell at a much lower price. Those are just the facts....the Dunsun is priced lower....so I don't see alot of risk....and I hope it works out for everyone.[/list:u]

Gotcha. By the way, its Dussun...with a double s. Not Dunsun.

I agree the loss might be minimized. Buy a $4000 amp and resell for $2000 down the road. Buy a Dussun for $1600 and resell for $800 down the road. The loss is certainly less on the Dussun.

I have bought from NYSound and won't buy from them again. There were problems with both products I bought from them and neither was resolved to my satisfaction.

Marcus/earlmarc has had a good track record for pointing out good products...this might be another. He was right about the SAS 10A preamp....and the Black Sand power cords....

What's the rest of your system?

Are you using the V8i with a preamp, or as an integrated amp?

SAS Audio Labs 10A preamplifier, Magnepan MG 1.6QR speakers, SilverFi IC's and SC's, Sound Application XE-12 conditioner/ outlet, and Black Sand Silver Ref. power cords. I was using the V8i as an integrated.
