Hi,

I looking for some amps, 2 channel or maybe a digital receiver? to go with a pair of av123 X-ls. $200 would be a good price point, maybe a little more. Hopefully this is the right section to ask in.

Thanks

Tha Panasonic SA-XR55 would be a very good choice for those speakers.

I have that receiver with the X-LS and XL-SUB in a bedroom system and it kicks butt!

J & R has it for $229.00 J&R SA-XR55

Couple it with a SqueezeBox and you can have an amazing system for little money.

Sweet, I was thinking a digtal receiver was probably best, but didn't know too much about them.  Anything special about setting the receiver up, it's a gift for someone who doesn't know much about electronics. It will be connected to a dvd player by coax or optical.

thanks

Link to SA-XR55 owners manual

Here is a link to a page where the owners manual can be found. Just click on the operating instructions.

It does not have the most intuitive user interface. Once set up it should work just fine.

There is a guy selling a Onix A60-MkII for $250 on this board.

Nice simple unit with good sound.

Yeah i saw that. Any idea how it would compare to the Ppnasonic. The key I think is it would be fed by a cheap dvd player, so I think all digital might be better.
