Good music transcends all languages  8)

Seriously, my Chinese leaves a lot to be desired too    But in HK, English is one of the two official languages. One can easily get around HK without speaking a word of Chinese

If any AC members drop by, do give us a shout!

Mad dog,

The first impression was the effect of ElectroClear is more dramatic, you would notice that there are more details in the higher-mid to high freq.

But in fact, the Symphony Pro has greater effect because it's positive influence is in the whole freq range and width and depth.
kennethlhc,

so does this mean that using the ElectroClear in conjuntion with the Symphony Pro has a cumulative compound effect? or does the Symphony Pro make the ElectroClears superfluous?

Kenneth had suggested to me that I start off with the Symphony Pro (makes sense since it benefits the entire frequency spectrum) then prioritize the Electraclear and Noisehound depending on whether I want incremental benefits to focus more on the mids/highs or bass, respectively.  Only problem is, the Symphony Pro is by far the most expensive of the 3!
I'm a little unclear on how to prioritize the ElectroClears after you have the Symphony Pro... :? Can someone explain this?

Also if one were to get a power conditioner like a Shunyata Hydra, would something like the Symphony Pro still work in conjunction with the conditioner? Or would the parallel filter just be superfluous?

Mad Dog,

The ElectroClear is cheaper (10+ EC = 1 Sym Pro), and even already with the Symphony Pro in the power route, you can still hear the improvement.

If you do a search in forums, you could see recommendations of using filters/conditioners after a balanced isolation transformer.  Parallel filters/noise absorbers' effects are usually acculmulative, unlike serial filters, thus, you  may find benefitial to have a parallel filter even you already a Hydra.

Hi Guys,
Nothing against the symphony, but I don't really think it's a filter, in the traditional sense.  Check out their website, http://www.quantumqrt.com/symphpro.htm.

It talks about generating a EM field which has a positive effect on the AC power line.

I have the symphony, and inside there is a small microprocessor which is connected to a transformer, and that's pretty much it.  A few caps, a voltage regulator and a crystal for the processor, make up the rest of the thing.  Not sure how it really works, but it has a positive effect on my system.

Mad Dog, I can let you borrow a symphony (I don't have the pro) sometime, and you can see for yourself.  I actually have two of them, but have not hooked up the second one yet.

Randytsuch,

thanks for the offer...i've PM'd u....

kennethlhc, thanks for the info...i actually have 3 ECs...just got them...wanted to try out the least expensive units to see if they really worked...guess what? they did...when i read that the symphony pro was much better than the ECs i wanted to know if i'd need to sell the ECs or if i could use them together for even more EMI/EMF neutralization...i don't have a Hydra....yet...

but am thinking about it since shokunin brought his over and we all heard a dramatic improvement in sound and blackness level...as such, i was curious if the power conditioner would take the place of the quantum gear...guess not...and the only way to find out is to try them all out separately and together...interesting stuff...

JayS, Guan, Kenneth, and Icefox,
I have read many raving reviews about Melody SHW 1688 and Spark MT-12 and MT-35 HK improved version lately.  Has any of you listen to any these equipments?  If any of you has one of these, could you also include it in your next group get together?   A lot of goodies just don't come to the states or often come late and sell more expensive than everywhere else in the world.   :(     Thanks!
