Best Buy Kef q series knockoffs

I was looking through Best Buy website yesterday and noticed that Best Buy has a pair of Kef q series knockoffs with a concentric driver under their Insignia brand name. They look pretty nice and are only $50 a pair. In the past few months I have tried bottom feeders such as the Preidian(radioshack) speakers(forget the model #) for $39.99, Sdat sbe70 $74.99 and Mission M70 $79.99. Neither the Presidian and the SDAT's were very good which should be no suprise to anyone. The Mission's however are excellent and are a mainstay in my living room. My main speakers are Phase Tech PC1.1II

Since my posting on the AudioAsylum website, news of these speakers have spread like wildfire. They are truly excellent for $45. They are manufactured by a company called Radiiant. http://www.radiient.com/ These are not white van speakers. Hope you guys can join in on the fun also.

Thanks for the info. Got a pair and connected them to a $10K system and I was shocked at what they can do. Went back bought another pair to put away. Had friends buy at least 4 pairs. These things are no brainers !! Anyone do any other mods to these like the GR Research ??

I know at least 10 people who've bought them now including meself. No complaints. Danny over at GR Research has already developed a nice mod for them. Thanks Danny. They're not perfect by any means but a heck of a lot of fun to listen to right out of the box and they continue to open up for several days as they burn in. I particularly like the tweeters--very silky airy highs compared to most cheap, screetchy tweets. What will the Chinese do next???

I know, they truly are amazing for the money. They are an instant classic. I just hope that Best Buy doesn't start to raise the price. Even more amazing is how the news of these has spread like wildfire from one single post over at audioasylum just seven or eight days ago. I am amazed at how many people are buying these things and really enjoying them. This is what the hobby is all about. Heck, I still emmensly enjoy the JVC rxes1sl receiver that was all the rage a couple years ago.
