I'm posting this here for a non-audiophile friend in the San Francisco/Bay Area.  Through a series of estate-related events, he finds himself in possession of 8 McIntosh MC-7270 amplifiers.  The MC-7270 was introduced in 1985 and sold retail for $2499 until 1991.  These amps have been installed into a wall-unit listening room and are apparently in excellent condition, but have not been used in about 10 years (when the owner passed away).
These amps have been selling on Audiogon for an average price of $1520, with the most recent one being sold last year for $1700 (according to the Audiogon bluebook).  As a non-audiophile estate sale, I am sure a reasonable offer will be accepted.
My friend would like to sell all of these amps (individually is ok).  Unfortunately, there are no boxes, so a local buyers who can pick them up is preferred.  I'm checking with folks here at AC before listing them on Audigon...
If you're interested, PM or email me and I will put you in touch with my friend!
Here's info on the amp that I found on the web...
The MC 7270 incorporates seven protection circuits which insure total reliability, seven protection circuits that protect the music and your listening, not interfere with them.
