Hi All,

I built an ACI system in the early 1990's consisting of the GEM monitor and Saturn Subwoofer, and it has served me well. Recently, however, I have blown out the GEM mid/sub driver, the Focal 7K011DBL. This driver is discontinued. Is there a current Focal replacement driver that I can drop in without crossover mods? It's a good excuse to build a new ACI system, but I would like to get the GEM working again regardless. If not, I may have to search eBay for a used 7K011DBL.

The driver we use as drop in replacement is the 7K4211DB.  I believe it also was discontinued but we bought a stock of them a few years back. Please call or email sales@audioc.com for pricing and availability.

The Gems are a fine speaker, may as well get them up and running again. The driver is VERY similar to the original, but has just a slightly different sonic character, we recommend replacing the pair for this reason.  Have a great day!
