I'm wireless now!

At last! 8)   I finally got around to buying a wireless router today.  I ended up getting a Belkin G+ model, just the $60 one.  Both of my desktops will be wired anyways, and I won't be building a huge network.  So far I fired up my laptop to make it worked, and it does, nicely.  It's gonna be pretty cool to be able to plop down on the leather furniture in the living room to do some surfin in front of the audio system.  I'll probably get a wireless adapter for my Xbox soon, too.

Of course, this gets me one step closer to being ready to buy a Squeezebox. :)   I just have to rip a few CDs first- say, about 900!

Congrats on the purchase!
I word of advice, be sure to turn on your encryption or you may have a few uninvited guests using your connection.
That is unless you live in the middle of nowhere!

So far I haven't read the manual far enough to figure out how to do encryption.

Are you buying an X360?  If so, I'm pretty sure the Xbox wireless adaptor won't work with it.  You may want to consider this, if you are planning on dumping your Xbox soon.

Well, simple cheapness (combined with the couple grand I spent moving to Watertown) probably means I won't get a 360 any time soon.  There are still virtually no games for it that interest me (Oblivion is cool I'll grant, but it's just one game- Tomb Raider is good but really not much better than the regular 'Box version).

I can use it for regular Xbox.  I don't currently have Xbox Live but it's on my 'things-to-do' list.
