Gainclone or traditional high quality power amp?

[ May I suggest getting the Blackgate N caps installed if possible...it gives these units a tad bit of wetness.

Good luck[/quote]

I think that it is too late for the Blackgates but after I get the unit I might install them myself although I might need a little coaching since I'm not too experienced in DIY electronics. However, years ago I did put together a Hafler integrated amp kit. Lotsa of pieces!

Good choice Raja! I've had great luck with tube pre's and my gainclone amp, as well as with several ob'd widerangers, SI coax, and conventional midbass drivers. May have to get a Mapletree myself, or one of Dmasons units if available (put me on the list Dan!).
B200's and a sub is tastey too in my experience.

Thanks to all for your advice and comments. I have made my decision and have made the commitment to purchase a 100w/ch bridged Gainclone

I prefer traditional with chip design you are limited in design because
most of the design is already done on the chip, howerver gainclones
are some of the best chips on audio
