BP26DA and HT integration

Is it possible given that  the BP26 does not have HT bypass like the bp16 to integrate it into a HT setup? And if so, could you please explain to me how?

Thanks,

Julie

Simply run the L&R analog out of your PrePro, to any analog input on the BP26.

Set the volume control to 12:00 (or any level you will be able to easily duplicate easily) and run the speaker level set program to get the levels correct.

Then when you want to watch HT, select the correct input and preset the volume to 12:00.

Another hint, is that if you use your DVD player as your CD player, you can run the digital outs to the pre/pro and the analog outs to the BP26.

This will allow you to use the pre/pro's bass management to "add in" the subwoofer to suit.  (That is, "IF" you shut down the amp to the surrounds and center)

All you do is adjust the volume for the 2 channels on the BP26, and slowly "blend" the sub with the remote of the Pre/Pro.

thanks john,

i think i get that :)

so how will this be different with the bp16 with ht bypass - is it just that it matches the volume gains of the 2 units automatically?

cheers,

hi james,

out of curiousity, is it possible to substitute an input on the bp26 for a HT bypass? I recall that this is an option on the nuforce p-8

cheers,

julie

Generally the HT by-pass has no gain (by-passes the volume pot and gain stage)
