We missed Yngwie Malmstein (sp?)

Today a student showed me a custom Yngwie Malmstein guitar pick that he gave her. She made a necklace out of it. Aparantly he was at the Pops recently. How did we miss that? Dang it. Scott probably posted it and I didn't notice.

She said she met him, the band, and they all stopped to talk to her for a while. I'm sure the guys in the band had only the best intentions.

When I asked if he played Riot in the Dungeon, she replied, "He played at the Pops."

Dude! I didn't know he was playing there. My son and his friend went to see Evans Blue at Pops last weekend. They said it was pretty good.

I guess I'll have to bookmark Pops so we don't miss any more good ones!

Pops is a decent venue. Just bring your ear plugs and be prepared to be hanging with angry teens.

I saw Yngwie in in Charlotte NC on May 4th. Pretty good show. It's hard to comprehend how he can be so damn fast and accurate.
