Anyone heard Wavelength Audio amps?
« on: 19 May 2006, 01:59 am »
Looking for feedback on the Wavelength Dueto 300B amp. I have a chance to buy one local for what seems to be a very good price. Going to try and setup a listening session with my Zu Druids but thought I would see if anyone who owns or has heard one has any comments.

I've never heard Wavelength gear myself, but I know of its reputation, and have always lusted after owning it.

In the world of 300B and SET, this stuff is very highly regarded.

It will not crush your walls with bass, nor flap your pants leg with speed, but if it mates well with your speakers, and you prize beauty, involvement, palapability, and a relaxed and fatigue-free sound that is dimensional and immersive, it could be just the ticket.

Whether this flavor is right for you, only you can judge.

Amp sounded great so I snagged it. Came with a nice pair of matched Western Electric 300b tubes. Build like a tank, too.

Please say more on the pairing with the druids, cause I have a pair on the way as I type, I bought the red ones with the flames off Audiogon.  Please tell me which speaker wire you use too.

Thanks
