My local Radio station are now broadcasting in HD Radio.  It still sounded like FM stereo but clearer.

Don't you need an HD-compatible reciever/tuner to hear the difference?

The Brits have had DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) for years, but need a specific tuner function built in to hear it.  I thought our HD Radio was it's equivalent  :?:

You are right.

Maybe it is not HD broadcast and just HD quality.  I was listening in the car radio one morning and the DJ must have mentioned "HD quality".
